Senior Search Strategist (SEO)

Position Summary

We’re hiring a Senior SEO Strategist to lead organic search strategies for a B2B client focused on long-term growth and measurable results.

This role combines deep SEO expertise, content strategy alignment, and analytical insight to boost search visibility, drive qualified traffic, and convert that traffic into leads. You’ll collaborate with content, creative, and dev teams to turn strategy into results while mentoring junior SEO specialists and guiding cross-functional execution.

You’ll need to be confident leading SEO conversations, prioritising optimisations, and managing audits across multiple time zones, specifically EU and US.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead SEO strategy development and implementation for client campaigns and websites
  • Conduct keyword research, technical audits, competitor analysis, and performance reviews
  • Translate business objectives into actionable SEO roadmaps and content briefs
  • Collaborate with writers and content leads to ensure content aligns with SEO best practices
  • Monitor rankings, crawl health, and user behaviour through tools like GA, GSC, SEMrush, and Ahrefs
  • Provide ongoing insights and recommendations for on-page and off-page improvements
  • Build and refine link-building and digital PR strategies to increase authority and relevance
  • Stay current on algorithm updates, AI search developments, and evolving ranking factors
  • Present SEO strategies and performance reports to internal teams and clients
  • Mentor junior SEO team members and provide guidance on tools, workflows, and tactics

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of SEO experience in an agency or in-house environment
  • Proven success with SEO strategies that improved rankings and conversions
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO (crawling, indexing, schema, Core Web Vitals)
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog
  • Solid grasp of keyword research, site structure optimisation, and content planning
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for both internal and client-facing work
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote, async setting
  • Bonus: experience with AI-generated SEO tools and reporting dashboards
